
Microsoft is releasing a new version of Windows this year and in anticipation for that release we want to let you know what will be needed to support Dell Backup and Recovery for Windows 10.
After upgrading to Windows 10 you will need to update to the newest version of Dell Backup and Recovery. You can do this by going to “Help” / “About” and choose “Check for Updates”, or just wait for the update notice that you should receive about a week after upgrading to Windows 10.
Below is what to expect from your newest version of Dell Backup and Recovery.
- Dell Backup and Recovery for basic users
- Restore your system “Back to Factory” with an option to save all of your data.
- Access to your cloud account.
- Create your Recovery Media.
All current features like “Instant Restore” and “Continuous Data Protection” will now be updated to work with Windows 10.
- Dell Backup and Recovery for premium users
- Restore your system “Back to Factory” with an option to save all of your data.
- Dell Backup and Recovery will prompt you to make a new System Backup so that you can restore to Windows 10.
- You will have the option to restore back to your original or your new Operating System, depending on what you need.
All current features like “Instant Restore” and “Continuous Data Protection” will now be updated to work with Windows 10.
